Is it more than just post-workout muscle soreness?

You overdid -- MAJOR big-time. Yes, rest, Ibuprofen, and stretching may help. Soaking in a bathtub with water as hot as you can stand it will help too. Also, drink a lot of water to help flush the lactic acid out of your system. Finally, if you can get a massage, that would really help.
