Am I too late to start ballet, I'm 18 years old?

I always had a passion for ballet and always wanted to take classes when I was little but due to family finances at the time and thought that you had to start really young to dance i was just wondering if it is too late? and if not will i be able to go on pointe.... if so do you have to have the right feet for it ? I know it may be late to dance professionally but just for myself to dance is it possible ?
