How do I get water out of my engine?

it is not ruined. i would put it all together and run it with some cheaper oil to circulate through the system and then change the oil and filter to get rid of the water. you might stop by a part store and see if they have an additive for the oil in this situation. if you leave it with the water in it, you might have problems such as superficial rust.
